Easy to to put together. Took me 25 min to put together. Its huge & i did not think it was as long but it is perfect. The color is oerfect to. Satisfied!This desk really works well for me and it is sturdy and hold everything I need. My only problem is that it is not level, which may be my error! I’ve messed with it a little bit and tried to level it, may have to disassemble and reassemble. But overall a great looking sturdy desk.Years ago I traded out a nice big corner desk that I had for a smaller, cheaper one to save space. I used that little desk for a long time, but it was always too small for me. I'm a big guy and even after removing the keyboard tray, I was still too tall to comfortably sit under it. I finally ordered this desk and a double monitor arm and I wish I had done it sooner.It feels sturdy enough, although I was a little worried when I slid it into place that the legs weren't going to hold up. I would definitely not slide this thing around while my PC was on it. Part of the issue is that I have tile floors with large gaps between the tiles and the feet of the desk can snag between them.There are little plastic screw-in feet for the legs that I extended out as much as possible to give me more vertical leg room. I'm 6'4 and have big legs. I have plenty of room now, though I have considered putting a board under the feet to raise it anywhere from 0.5" to 1.5" (depending on plywood or 2x4). It's not necessary, though.I got the 63" desk. I could have done with a little more length, but this works great. I'm not a huge fan of whatever material the desktop is made of, though. It's fine, but it's kinda smooth and slightly glossy. The metal frame makes me comfortable that it won't break, but the desktop is prone to smudging. My keyboard definitely marks it up some. Also, because it's black, you're going to see every bit of dust and dog hair that lands on it. It's not a huge deal for me as I'm not a neat freak and don't really care what it looks like.One reason I ordered this desk was that I wanted to start using monitor arms. I was concerned about how the base would connect to the desk and how sturdy that would be. Another reviewer (props to A. Salazar) posted what I am about to post, which is what made me comfortable buying this desk; I will upload pictures. There is a metal frame that goes all the way around the desk. If your base is a clamp-on type, you only have about .5" of lip from the desktop. If you clamp to the frame, you're only clamping to about .5 of metal. The good news, though, is that a piece of 2x4 fits perfectly. It is the exact thickness of the frame (note: 2x4s actually measure 1.5" by 3.5"). I cut a small piece of board and clamped it against the desk. It is very secure. My monitor stand also had the option to run a bolt through the desk, but I didn't want to drill holes, especially since I'll be moving the thing to the left a bit when I get some longer cables. But if you want to drill through the 2x4 and desk, it'd would definitely never fall.If you like, here is the monitor arm that I am using. This is a very affordable medium-sized computer table. If the surface is protected, it’s also fine as a breakfast or kitchen table. It’s not meant to be wet or scratched, but it looks good.The two weak points are 1) the surface, which is easily cut, chipped, worn through, and 2) the corners where the legs are bolted. They don’t shimmy at all, because I followed the advice of other buyers and tightened all of the bolts in series while wiggling the legs until they were set very snug to the framework. But, like all similar tables, the legs won’t take a lot of sideways force. For example, you can’t push it across a concrete floor and not expect the joints to protest. The bolts could snap, although it would take a lot of force. There are ridges under the bolt heads, like a locking washer, which should keep them from loosening, but they might loosen over time if the table is moved around a lot. If that happens, all you need to do is tighten them. So keep the hex wrenchs handy, or tape it to the underside!I had trouble with the screw hole in one leg; it seemed slightly obstructed, maybe with a steel filing. So I used some strength and screwed a bolt all the way in and then unscrewed it before attaching the leg to the table frame.The surface of the table is strong and rigid, because it is supported on all four sides by a steel frame. I feel that I can hammer and drill small items like jewelry without putting any strain on it. And as long as I protect the surface with vinyl or rubber, it should continue to look like wood. Of course it’s not, but it looks good.HELPFUL HINTSI’m a woman, 5’6” and 62, and not particularly fit, but I’m handy. So I unpacked the box in my entryway and moved the parts separately. It was a little tricky to get the top where I wanted it, because it’s very heavy, but managable. I slid it on a piece of cardboard from the box. I had no trouble lifting the legs and attaching them. Build it upside-down, with the top on the floor. It’s really the best way to get the legs tight.The hard part was standing the table upright, since I put it together on its back, so to speak. I lifted one end and slid a box under it with my foot, and did the same with the other end, so I only had to lift half the weight at one time. You could do it with hassocks, or couch cushions. Then I tilted the table toward the floor, off the edge of the boxes, until two legs were touching at a good angle to tip it over. That way, the boxes took most of the weight, and then the legs did. And I tilted it to stand upright.For scale, that’s a 27” iMac, quite a bit larger than your average monitor. It weighs at least 20 lbs. The pre-2012 iMacs were substantially heavier, with built-in CD/DVD drive.It is simplistic and easy to assemble. Just add legs, lol! LOTS of tabletop workspace. I am tall, so the leg room underneath is important for me. This is a great basic, good quality, inexpensive piece for someone that just needs to spread out but doesn't want to commandeer the dining room table! I am still unpacking so do not judge the mess, but I wanted you all to see how it works in a room :) Hope this helps fellow shoppers!Having recently converted a closet to a workstation, I needed 2 smaller tables/desks to occupy excess space on the sides of my main desk. It seems finding a small desk/table can be quite challenging if you're intending to use it to hold heavy objects. End tables seemed to be my only option until I found this desk, ordered 2 and 100% satisfied with what I got compared to the price.To my surprise, these little desks turned out to be easy to setup and more than sturdy enough to hold the heavy computers I've put on them. There is some slight wobble given the height and lack of cross beam leg supports BUT if you've got these against a wall or next to other sturdy objects then it balances out.I was a little concerned about shipping damage and was relieved to see adequate foam packaging inside the box that protected everything nicely. No damages from shipping at all.Quick arrival and packaged well.Very easy to assemble. Very good size and quality is really good.There's a slight rocking/wobble, this may resolve once the screws are tightened. Haven't got round to this yet.*Edit* - 1st Feb 21. For the last 6-8 months the desk has developed a wobble and squeaking. I've tightened all the screws, used WD-40 etc and it's not resolved the issue. I've kept my review at 4*'s because it's lasted me a good time for the money spent. Works out well as I now need a bigger desk.Took about 10 minutes to put together, and the surface looks and feels good. Didn't seem to be damaged from shipping at all.My only issue was the adjustable plastic feet that fit on the bottom of the legs. Mine seemed a bit old and badly cut plastic. They did include 2 spares which were in much better condition, so I've popped them on. It's a minor issue though and I'm very pleased with my purchase otherwise.Was quite heavy, but that's my fault for living in a flat! Pretty easy to put together, but does take a few minutes. No faults, great for the price. Slight damage to the top, but for the price it's not a big deal, my monitor covers it. Would definitely buy again!Arrived damaged and as you can see it is very noticeable :(The cardboard box was crushed on one corner. When I opened the box, I saw the table was crushed on one corner. Even without the crushed corner, it didn't look all that great. I kept it because I needed a desk urgently, also it was too much hassle to return. But it's not a good deal.
